Update concerning the online resource of the movement The web site of the International Green Charter Revolutionary Committees Movement is back online after a technical outage. The site contains The Green Book which contains some practical aspects of the philosophy of the Third Universal Theory relating to power, wealth and society. This Theory is the theory of the Brother Leader of the World Revolution Colonel Muammar al-Qadhafi and the world wide movement of revolutionary committees. It also contains the Green Charter as legislated by the free Libyan people gathered in their Basic People’s Conferences during 1988 which culminated with the proclamation of the Great Green Document (Charter) on Human Rights and Freedoms in the Era of the Masses at the General People’s Congress in Al-Baida on June 12th, 1988. This Charter was adopted by the international revolutionary committees forming the Green Charter International on the 11th anniversary of the proclamation, namely on 12th June 1999. The website ( GreenCharter.Com ) also has other materials introducing the basic concepts of the Third Universal Theory along with a presentation by American Libertarians which explains the same concepts using imagery in a flash video presentation. The site also is downloadable onto disk and thus can be saved and shared offline and distributed by supporters of the advanced concept of human rights and freedoms. Supporters can distribute and share documents from the site whether in print, compressed or decompressed file, via Bluetooth, Email or other means. The Italian Revolutionary Committee which coordinates the section of the movement in southern Europe ( Green Charter South Europa ) initiated a contest in early 2012 around the Green Charter which is expected to be awarded prizes to the winners in future. Hundreds of thousands of the Revolutionary Committees’ members belong to the category of the ordinary people. The overwhelming majority of them did not achieve any personal gain due to their affiliation to the Revolutionary Committees Movement. Rather, they were fighting the corruption that rich classes tried to spread in Libya. To check my claims any one can go into the details, and review the names of the people who are known in his/her area and hold the comparisons he/she wants. I am confident in advance of the validity of my claims.
The goal of the al-Fateh revolutionaries and their declared slogans revolved around ways and means of how to develop Libya and ensure its renaissance and how to raise the standard of living of all Libyans without discrimination from the Mediterranean Sea to the Tibisty Mountains and from the Sallum Hill to the marshes of al-Assah. The constant discourse among them focuses on the problems of the people, the conditions of the people, the security of people and the participation of people in authority.
The February “revolutionaries” (rebels), on the contrary, only talk about the rights of the rebels, the problems of the rebels, and protection of the interests of the rebels. Their dominant saying is: “Do not tell us your quest is commendable”, as always repeated by the rebel Nakir. They seek to establish a state of their own as rebel Abdul-Al, last Minister of the Interior, said two days ago very clearly and without equivocation or compliment. They go on demonstrations and carry arms in order to defend only the interests of the rebels and, to achieve their demands, which they regard as legitimate because they are the owners of the revolution.
All February related media do not talk about anything other than the interests of the rebels and their problems and how to empower them. They consider that Allah has blessed them because they were oppressed in the land, so “He made them Imams and made them the inheritors,” according to the Mufti’s interpretations. February reduced Libya with its people, its land and, its history to a few thousands of rebels who do not have a clear identity, and whose name-lists change according to occasions.
Some of them might say that among the Al-Fateh revolutionaries there were those who were corrupt, became rich and abused their positions. This is true, but the answer lies in the question about the proportion of those corrupt compared to the al-Fateh era, which exceeded four decades, and with the size of the work done both materially and morally, and with the size of the battles fought by those revolutionaries. Besides, one should raise the question: did this corruption take place in public, in accordance with an official general policy? Let us go into the details and ask for names, size of the excesses and, the volume of criticism leveled at the corruption among the al-Fateh revolutionaries and the multiple attempts geared towards cleansing.
During the al-Fateh Revolution era the law requires that any person who takes a job needs to fill out a form called “financial trust form” detailing his/her financial and material properties. Then, a law was enacted under the name: “where did you get this from?” In 2007 all executive, security, military and revolutionary leadership were requested exceptionally to hand financial disclosure statements to a special high-level committee at the Supreme Court. These statements represent today a closer to accurate data baseline to evaluate those individuals without scolding, or exaggeration, rumors and propaganda.
During the era of the al-Fateh the slogan was “serve the people”, and “employment is an obligation and not an honor” You will not find any Secretary at any level walking around in guarded convoys. You would find them at social events, like the others. During these long decades no isolated class of politicians existed.
The situation today is very different. “Employment is honor” is the overriding slogan around which revolves conflict by all means. This logo poses quotas among political, social and regional formations. Appropriation in its multiple forms is the dominant feature among the February rebels. A special law for the salaries of ministers and deputies allotted them salaries many folds higher than salaries of staff from the rest of the people, under the pretext that this would make them refrain from looking at public money!
The rebels were awarded huge disbursements that they will not hesitate to extract by force if payment is delayed. Billions are paid to the rebels under the provisions of treatment and compensation. A special law was enacted to guarantee that only rebels may assume leadership positions, and scholarships to study and work abroad have become exclusive right to the rebels. Rebel officials move around in heavily armed convoys, because of the security situation, which the February “revolution” produced. The slogan that constitutes the basis for work among the February rebels is: “the self comes first before the friend”.
The Law of Political Isolation has become a rebel and religious requirement; according to the latest fatwas of the Mufti so as “to secure the survival of the rebels alone in power and in order to avoid any possible discomfort for them.” The call for federalism is to increase the positions where the rebels can extend their legs and, in order to avoid confrontation with each other, and not only because of centralization and marginalization.
Most importantly I would say: “When things mix it is best to use the mind to see things as they are away from propaganda noise and reach of crossfire lies.”
Mahmoud Jibril says that the February revolution is more important than the French Revolution!! Believe it or not, in our country there is a revolution and revolutionaries. Let him who said that the revolution benefits the worst of the bastards go to hell.

Libyan Dictator Mahmoud Jibril?

He was originally educated in Egypt and then later received his PhD from The University of Pittsburgh. He is also a former member of Khadafy’s
regime who was working with his son Saif on economic reforms in Libya. While in college Jibril studied under aformer U.S. intelligence official
in Iran, one Richard Cottam, who later on became a political scientist who’s specialty was the Middle East.
That is a very interesting combination of skills we see there, politics, intelligence, and science. At this point one has to wonder if the
intelligence agency employing Mr. Cottam wasn’t the infamous CIA. When looking at the volatile situations across the Middle East and
North Africa today, we hear very little about CIA involvement, but make no mistake, these types of situations have always involved the CIA,
in one way or another. Therefore, I find it very interesting how a former Khadafy regime member who was schooled by a U.S,
intelligence operative and political-science master has become the *Interim Prime Minister of Libya* today with obvious American Leftist support.
At least we now know who our Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton was talking to, when she stated she was in serious talks with the Libyan
rebels who had yet to be identified by the rest of the world. While this guy appears to come out of nowhere, his background proves that
he has deep ties to certain American factions, most notably our most left-leaning politicians. Take note to date, that Mr. Jibril has yet to
meet with the third most powerful representative of the American people, the Speaker of the House, Republican John Boehner.
Thus the numerous serious questions about our true agenda in engaging in the Libyan civil war illegally. To get Congressional approval for
the Libyan war action, it would have to go through the Republican controlled House of Representatives, so President Obama just bypassed
that Constitutional mandate completely. So much for real democracy in America today. Another interesting fact is that while studying in
the United States, Mr. Jibril, who in fact went by the name Mahmoud Gebril ElWarfally when he lived in the United States, is in many
ways an unlikely leader of rebellion. Also of note is that Mr. Jibril has problems spelling his own name properly or consistently, as in his
own company in which he is the President, ” Gebril for Training and Consultancy.” Americans do not trust people who change
their identities in an attempt to hide their past actions, just look at Barry Seotoro, AKA Barack Hussein Obama, for a good example
of that. Add in the fact that he has been mentored by a U. S. intelligence operative, and had initially only been talked to by leftist Democrats
John Kerry and Hillary Clinton when this whole charade started, and we see a distinct pattern emerging in the Libyan Civil War scenario.
Mr. Jibril , aka Mr. ElWarfally, has some interesting plans for Libya, which include nationalizing the oil industry, drafting a
new Libyan constitution, and starting a new Central Bank, similar to what Mr. Hugo Chavez has done in Venezuela.
Mr. Jibril also has visions of installing a new television station in rebel-held territory, while calling for the dismantling of Khadafy’s own
television stations. To deny anyone, even a ruthless dictator, the right to defend himself in the free speech arena is a very troubling sign indeed.
Those plans are more in line with installing a Socialistic Dictatorship than a true Democracy. We also see what happens when the United States
enters into a Civil war that is none of our business and becomes responsible for meeting the demands of the ragtag rebels seeking to overthrow
Khadafy. To keep the rebellion afloat, opposition members are seeking aid including heavy artillery, cash, and the jamming of Khadafy’s
television channels. Gene Cretz, the US ambassador to Libya, said his team is still deliberating what kind of support to offer the rebels as it
tries to figure out exactly who all the people on the interim council are. Will Libya end up being a true Democracy when this all plays out, or
will it still be in the hands of just another Dictator similar to Khadafy? Update 1: If you thought it was a conspiracy theory in the connection of

“From his progeny (descendants) will rise a Group who will recite the Holy Quran but it will not go below their throats. They will leave the Deen (Islam) just as an arrow leaves the bowstring. They will kill Muslims but spare the idolaters. If I ever confronted these people I would slaughter them just as the people of Aad had been destroyed’. (Mishkat, pp – 535). Imam Bukhari has quoted this Hadith from Abdullah Ibn Umar (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) that Prophet (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) once prayed for Syria and Yemen. It is narrated that there were some people of Najd also present in the gathering and they requested the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) to make supplication (du’a) for Najd also. Prophet (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) continued saying: ‘ O! Allah, Shower Blessings on Syria and Yemen’. The people of Najd again requested the Prophet (pbuh)to offer prayers for Najd. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) said: ‘It is a place of tremor and mischief (Fitna) and the Horn of Shaitaan will rise from there.” (Bukhari, Vol – ii, P – 1050).
The incompatibility of Islam with secular, liberal, democratic forms of government, is a result of Wahabi/Salafi ideas of Islam
propagated by the Saudi government and arising from U.S. opposition to and fear of Arab nationalism. By 1957 the
United States perceived Arab nationalism as the greatest threat to its interest in the region, rather than communism, and that “radical Islam
was to be the antidote to Arab nationalism”. Also the British used Wahhabis/Salafis to make an Arab revolt against Ottoman Khilafa but the
Arab nationalism and secularism is what really brought down the Ottomans but the wahabis took advantage of this to seize power. After that
Khilaf was destroyed and left big wounds and pains all over Muslim lands caused by the sectarian seeds, till this day, there are countless attempts
in which the Turkish rulers are being used against Arabs exploiting their desire to revive the Ottomans. The Ottomans, rulers of Arabia at that time
were set out to completely smash the locally called Wahabis. Ottomans did not succeed very well; hence Wahabi’s influence remained to control the
Muslim holy sites and Mosques in and around Arabia. Wahabis have spent last 300 years waiting for an opportune time to gain political influence
and as we witness these days, the Ottomans and Salafi leaders join their power in common targets under the Imperialist directions but stab each
other when it comes about the personal interest.
Saudi Arabia
The Saudi regime has a policy of preservation of a Saudi Nationalist Identity And Culture.
This protects the monarchy and its corrupt control of Arabia’s resources. In order to preserve it, it adopts policies of elitism, segregation, discrimination. That includes denying citizenship and equal status to non Saudi Muslims who have resided there for generations.
(In fact, the Saudi adoption of Saudi nationality and nationalism is born of the Judeo Christian biblical conceptualization of national identity which serves to justify Zionism- they are of the same origin). The King consolidated his authority ruthlessly, killing every Muslim who did not convert to Salafism and destroying the entire Islamic heritage kept intact for 1300 years by successive Muslim governments. It is reported that, during the last expansion of Prophet’s ( صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) mosque in late 1980s, Saudis have structurally partitioned the Green Dome from the rest of the Mosque in preparation for razing it into rubble by a powerful dynamite. Saudi Government claims their country is free from slavery but are hesitant to allow international scrutiny of their claim.
They continue to refuse to sign United Nations treaties on slavery and human rights abuses, probably because they do not want to be covered under these obligations. They have not signed any extradition treaty even with Unted States to protect members of Royal family being extradited out of Saudi Arabia for their alleged crimes but, still. Mutawwas (Saudi Religious Police) are nothing but Government paid informers, well connected with General Intelligence Directorate (Saudi Secret Service), assigned to keep an eye on individual members of public and help Saudi Royals to remain in power.
They are trained to keep an eagle’s eye on public activities and close their eyes completely from the members of Royal family. Mutawwas work under the network of Government run Salafi Dawa Centers whose responsibility is to baptize people into Salafism, a political doctrine imposed on people in the name of Islam.
The Western powers sustain and protect the Saudi monarchy from various threats while working to replace it with their own idea: Free officers movement (FOM) in Egypt was the start of this. All Saudi princes including the king Fahad are Wahabis. They grew up in schools and education system run by Wahabis. Western education to some of them has not changed their outlook. Saudi King(s) have created a special government department which looks after all the religious affairs including Hajj pilgrimage, opening madarssa – the key to galvanizing Muslims in their home countries.
With cash at their disposal the local Mullahs are free to help terrorists find shelter, food money and training. Madarssa curriculum is based on Wahabi teachings. From 1973 – 2001, the price of oil scaled new height; hence more money became available to be distributed through out the Muslim world. All teachers of the Madarassas, Mullahs of the Mosques under pretext of Hajj pilgrimage underwent Wahabi training in religious schools in Saudi Arabia.
Care was taken not to indulge in political propaganda to alarm the home country government. The latter was left for the mullah’s and teacher to undertake after their return. In Afghanistan, the Saudis involved themselves in a first war of the twentieth century against the “infidel”. To this, they were encouraged by the USA and Saudi’s paid for their religious indoctrination and recruitment thru the Mosques and Madarssas built by them all over the world. During the Crimean War in the mid 19th century the British supported the Ottoman Turks against the Russian threat. At the same time, the Ottomans were looking to closer relations with European powers. The British stirred the Arabs against the Turks and now they stir the new Ottomans against the Arabs.
In the 18th century, however, a reactionary reform movement – later called Wahabism – had begun among the Arabs. The Wahabis, and the British, supported the warlord chieftain Ibn Saud and legitimized the Saudi dynasty and its struggle against the Ottomans. In the periods when Wahabis took control of the Holy Places in Arabia from the Turks (with British support) they proceeded to destroy 1500 years of Muslim heritage, including the desecration of the tombs of the wives and companions of the Holy Prophet. And since the Ottomans had control of the Caliphate – the symbolic leadership of all Muslims – it seemed that Islam would be dealt a telling blow.
There were some Europeans in this period who confidently predicted the demise of the Islamic faith-so they decided to create a second entity called Israel. This was arguably essential for the survival of Wahabism itself and, at the same time it was a blow for the moderate schools preacing the real Islam – it empowered the “fundamentalists”. This deceptive interpretation of history is derived from Abdul Wahhab, who appeared in the mid-18th century. According to his memoirs, a British spy by the name of Hempher, was assigned to the Middle East in order to discover ways to undermine Islam, with the aim of advancing British control over the region. His mission eventually focussed on the support of Wahhab, and backing him through the Saudi family, through whom he preached the British’s destructive message of Islam.
Essentially, Wahhab’s innovations made it legal for his followers to fight other Muslims, by pronouncing them “unbelievers”, under the pretense of “purifying” Islam, but in reality serving British strategy against the great Ottoman Empire. Wahhab did so by claiming that all of Islamic history, except for the generations of the Salaf, that is, from the time of the Math’habs onward, had fallen out of Islam. Once adherence of the Muslims had been unbound from their traditional legal schools, it was possible for the British and their agents to come in with their own. And this is the purpose of the Salafi movement.
While the Saudis have been under agreement with the CIA to finance many of its covert activities, including the funding of the Mujahideen in Afghanistan, and the support of Islamic terrorists worldwide, many of the Saudi scholars as well as the government are putting on a public face of rejecting terrorism and bin Laden.
They claim that terrorism and anti-government activities are contrary to the true tenets of Salafism.
This is not true. At times the purpose of Salafism is to inculcate terrorism, but in general, the purpose of Salafism is to provide a new
Math’hab, to estrange the world’s Muslim population from traditional Islam, and thereby lead them wherever Western
interests deem fit. The Wahabi-backed House of Saud took full control of the Hijaz, Mecca and Medina, in 1924 and established the modern
state of Saudi Arabia, with Wahabism (or Salafism) as its official religion. Thereafter, until the present day, the Saudi regime has promoted
Wahabism (Arab purism) – an 18th C. Hanbalite heresy – as normative Islam throughout the Muslim world. The Saudi regime was
consolidated on massive oil wealth. From the 1930s until the present day the Saudis have spent vast sums of money building Wahabi mosques,
printing Wahabi literature and funding Wahabi institutions world-wide. By the end of the 20th century, with Wahabi control of the Holy Places
intact, virtually every aspect and corner of modern Islam has been penetrated by Wahabi influence through the agency of the Saudi regime.
Wahabi Islam is a fossilized superstition that replaces the spirit of a living religious tradition with the dead hand of literalism motivated, at core,
by Arab chauvanism, the deep belief that only Arabs are “true” Muslims and that only Arabs can dictate the norms of religion to the Muslim world.
Other related forms of fundamentalism such as that inspired by the Egyptian Sayyid Qutb are extensions of the same ideology. It was none other t
han the Saudis and their Masonic origins, who have betrayed the Muslim and the Arab world. The pain that is today experienced in Iraq and
Palestine and Syria is a result from this betrayal.
The Saudis and their Islam has been formed by the British in order to undermine the true Islam and also destroy the Ottoman Caliphate.
The radical faction of Islam, known as the Salafi, are a movement created through British intrigue and coordination with occult secret societies,
toward fomenting a “Clash of Civilizations”. “According to CIA agent Miles Copeland, the Americans began looking for a Muslim Billy Graham
around 1955… When finding or creating a Muslim Billy Graham proved elusive, the CIA began to cooperate with the Muslim Brotherhood, the
Muslim mass organization founded in Egypt but with followers throughout the Arab Middle East… This signaled the beginning of an alliance
between the traditional regimes and mass Islamic movements against Nasser and other secular forces” The British, supported the creation of a
Jewish state in Palestine after World War 2. Reminescent of the strategic role played by the Crusader states in the Middle Ages, this venture restored
the opportunities of enmity for the British to exploit. Having removed the Ottomans from the equation the British needed leverage against the
newly Arab puppets called al Saud.
It is entirely true to form that the British continue to support both the Israelis and the Saudis and to juggle their interests between them.
British petroleum interests have a huge stake in the Middle East. The CIA was following the example of British Intelligence and sought to use
Islam to further its goals. They wanted to find a charismatic religious leader that they could promote and control and they began to cooperate
with groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood. The Brotherhood became an even more important asset after Nasser announced the
Egyptian takeover of the Suez. Author Stephen Dorril documents how this move was viewed from Britain,
On 26 July in Alexandria, in a calm speech, but one that was described by London as hysterical, Nasser made his nationalisation
announcement, which from a strictly legal point of view was no more ‘than a decision to buy out the shareholders.’ That night in
Downing Street, [British Prime Minister] Eden’s bitterness at the decision was not concealed from his guests… Eden summoned a
council of war, which continued until 4 a.m. An emotional Prime Minister told his colleagues that Nasser could not be allowed, in
Eden’s phrase, ‘to have his hand on our windpipe.’ The ‘muslim Mussolini’ must be ‘destroyed.’ Eden added: ‘I want him removed
and I don’t give a damn if there’s anarchy and chaos in Egypt.’
To prepare the way for the desired coup the British Information Research Department (IRD) was called into action.
They ratcheted up their efforts to control radio broadcasts into Egypt and they planted false stories in the BBC, the London Press Service
and the Arab News Agency. Forged documents were created that suggested that Nasser was planning to take over the entire Middle East
oil trade, and a bogus report was disseminated that alleged that Egyptian dissidents were being sent to a concentration camp manned by ex-Nazis.
The British had a problem though in deciding who would take over Egypt after Nasser’s removal. MI-6 held meetings with members of the old Wafd
party and allies of former premier Nahas Pasha. The original Free Officer’s leader General Neguib, who had been removed and placed under house
arrest by Nasser, was viewed as a possible president, and some British circles even advocated that Prince Abdul Monheim, the most ‘presentable’
Egyptian royal, be made king. According to Dorril, the most important recruit to the British plot to topple Nasser was an Egyptian Intelligence
officer Isameddine Mahmoud Khalil, who was maintained as a contact by supplying him with intelligence about Egypt’s most pressing enemy:
Israel. Dorril offers a Mossad chief’s remarks about this situation who said, “Harming Israel’s security by handing over secret information about
her did not apparently trouble the conscience of the British.” This was a very complicated time for the British, because they were presently working
with Israel to coordinate a military attack on Egypt which eventually took place in October. In the end all of this British subversion and agitation
failed, even after they decided upon the direct military confrontation that was played out in the Suez War of October 1956. Popular Egyptian support
for Nasser was just too much, and the international community sided with Nasser against the British as well, forcing the Suez Canal to be returned to Egypt.
Nasser emerged leading an Egypt finally free from British control. The secular Egyptian government has traditionally been one of the toughest
enemies of Islamic terrorism, whereas the single most important backer of Egyptian terror groups has been Britain. The Gladstonian policy of
divide-and-exploit prevails in British policy to this day. In the post-WW2 environment, with the decline of the British Empire and the rise of
American global dominance, the Americans have adopted and continued the same policy. It is no accident that the Israeli and Saudi lobbies –
are the largest and most influential lobby groups in Washington as it protects its own creation while Turkish rulers were integrated in the
picture as executors of the creations’ desire.
The West recklessly ignored some rulers’ wish to revive the Ottoman Empire but they thought to use
it at some point against Arab nationalism: exploiting the historical background, which ensured the Zionists that a big powerful enemy could not
arise in the Middle East, and with the help of the puritanist Islam, founded the military brand of Salafi called Al Qaeda and the political wing
called Muslim Brotherhood, a situation that remains to this day. Today an Anglo-American alliance – along with Zionism – and guided by
British and oil interests, continues the long British tradition of exploitative interference in and manipulation of the politics of the Middle East,
that has stimulated, spread and consolidated fundamentalist Islam at the expense of other expressions of Islamic religion.
Support for the oil-rich
Saudis has also facilitated the continued infiltration of Wahabi doctrine into the new Western Muslim communities. Islam in the West has been
characterized by prolonged “turf wars” to see who controls and speaks for the Western Muslim communities. In most cases, Muslims in the
West have been dislocated from the traditional madhabs and have little or no clerical supervisionin their new homes.
In these circumstances, Salafism – aided by Saudi money – finds fertile soil.
Saudi Arabia and Qatar
These neighboring petro-monarchies have sought to influence political transformations in the Levant and North Africa on their
own respective terms, both to advance geopolitical interests and to ensure that their own populations do not initiate popular uprisings.

where Qatar has fostered an alliance with the Muslim Brotherhood. Indications of Qatar’s influence continued to surface through
Yusuf al-Qaradawi, a Qatari national of Egyptian origin – member of the Muslim Brotherhood. Expected that the confrontations
among the youth of the revolution in Tahrir Square protesters, the supporters of the junta and supporters of Salafi/Muslim Brotherhood to worsen.
It is most likely that the hidden hands will try to escalate the confrontations, giving justification for a possible military coup, which will enter
Egypt in a new July Revolution. In Tunisia it was attributed the Islamist Ennahda party’s success to an infusion of Qatari petro-dollars.
The fact that Prime Minister Rashid al-Ghannouchi’s first post-election international visit was to Qatar – and that his son-in-law, formerly
a researcher for Al Jazeera in Doha, became his Foreign Minister – has further stoked suspicions about ties between the Gulf Emirate and
the Ennahda party. The speculation has even led to protests in Tunisia against Qatari interference in Tunisia’s affairs. Freedom and Justice
Party with 24.3 percent of the vote in Egypt – received a “steady stream of funding, much of it originating in the Gulf States, which gave
Salafi candidates a significant financial edge over their rivals.”
Revkin adds that Saudi support for Egyptian Salafis is “spiritual as well as material.”
A Salafi cleric from Saudi Arabia, Adnan Alkhtiry, visited Egypt shortly before the parliamentary elections and
delivered a sermon encouraging Egypt’s conservative Muslims to take advantage of “a great opportunity” to “establish an Islamic state”
Riyadh’s support for Salafi factions in countries undergoing political openings is the latest attempt to counter the rise of regional
movements that conflict with the kingdom’s interests. Qatar’s influence could be crowded out and Doha may need to reign in its
international ambitions and address its democratic deficit at home. Indeed, when it comes to democracy in the Gulf, the two kingdoms

Le socialisme vert est l’expression militante et combattante d’un corpus idéologique révolutionnaire se démarquant à la
fois du capitalisme et du marxisme, et constituant une troisième voie : la Troisième Théorie universelle, telle qu’exposée
dans le Livre vert de Mouammar Kadhafi.

Interpol also has issued red notices for Muammar Qaddafi and his son Saif al-Islam upon request by the Hague-based International Criminal Court. Both men have been charged with crimes against humanity.
Interpol had urged authorities in Niger and surrounding countries – and those with direct flights to Niger – to watch out for and arrest Qaddafi “with a view to returning him to Libya” for prosecution.
Interpol’s red notices are the highest-level alerts they can issue to their member countries. The notices do not force countries to turn over suspects but strongly urge them to, and countries who ignore such notices can come under pressure from the international community.
Qaddafi’s eight adult children have played influential roles in Libya, from commanding an elite military unit to controlling the oil sector. Al-Saadi, 38, headed the Libyan Football Federation, and at one point played in Italy’s professional league but spent most of his time on the bench.
Another Qaddafi son is with his daughter Aisha and wife in neighboring Algeria – along with other family members – while Khamis Qaddafi, who led the Khamis Brigade that fought in the west, was reportedly killed in battle, although that was never confirmed.
Libya’s new rulers have gained control of most of the country, but revolutionary forces still face fierce resistance in Qaddafi’s hometown of Sirte, Bani Walid and pockets in the southern desert. NATO recent extended its mission, although the top U.S. commander for Africa said Saturday that the military mission is largely complete.
Army Gen. Carter Ham, head of U.S. Africa Command said that the National Transitional Council and its forces should be in “reasonable control” of population centers before the end of the NATO mission, dubbed Unified Protector. And he said they are close to that now.
Medical workers fleeing the besieged city of Sirte told Reuters on Sunday that people wounded in fighting in the city were dying on the operating table because fuel for the hospital generator has run out.
The birthplace of Qaddafi is one of two towns still holding out against the country’s new rulers. The fighting has entered its third week and civilians are caught up in a worsening humanitarian crisis.
Two-day truce
The interim government, the National Transitional Council (NTC), declared a two-day truce to allow civilians to escape,
but people emerging from the city said they knew nothing of the ceasefire, and that the shooting had not stopped.
“Doctors start operating, then the power goes. They have a few liters of fuel for the generators, then the lights go out when they operate,” said a man who gave his name as al-Sadiq, who said he ran the dialysis unit at Sirte’s main hospital.
“I saw a child of 14 die on the operating table because the power went out during the operation,” he told Reuters on the western outskirts of the city.
Aid workers from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) who brought medical supplies into Sirte on Saturday could not reach the hospital because of shooting.
That hospital has now become the focus of concerns about the humanitarian crisis in the city.
“It’s a catastrophe. Patients are dying every day for need of oxygen,” said Mohammed Shnaq, a biochemist at the hospital who fled early on Sunday during a lull in the shooting.
He said private pharmacies in Sirte had handed over their supplies to the hospital after its own stocks ran out a week ago, but these were now running out too.
The ICRC said that it planned to go back into Sirte and hoped to reach the hospital, security permitting.
“We want to deliver oxygen, which is lacking at the hospital,” ICRC spokesman Marcal Izard told Reuters in Geneva.
“But it has to be done carefully, oxygen is very delicate. A stray bullet would be a disaster.”
NATO operations
NATO warplanes were more in evidence than in previous days, with aircraft flying unusually low over the city. In one 10-minute period there was a steady rumble from bombs dropping on an area south of the city, a Reuters reporter said.
Qaddafi’s supporters are too weak to regain power, but their resistance is frustrating the new rulers’ efforts to start building the post-Qaddafi Libya.
While it needs to stamp out the last resistance swiftly, the NTC does not want to use indiscriminate shelling, which could hurt its standing and make it even harder to govern Libya’s fractious tribes and regions.
Qaddafi loyalists and some civilians have blamed NATO air strikes and shelling by anti-Qaddafi forces for the deaths of civilians in Sirte.
Both NATO and the NTC deny that and say it is the Qaddafi loyalists who are endangering civilians by using them as human shields.
The focus on the battle for the last pro-Qaddafi strongholds — and on tracking down Qaddafi himself — has left a power vacuum in Tripoli.
With no process in motion for electing a new leadership, power on the ground is wielded by anti-Qaddafi militias who are jockeying with each other for influence in the new Libya. Some analysts warn that this rivalry could turn violent.

Aragorn was a descendant of Elros Tar-Minyatur, Lord Elrond the Half-elf’s twin brother and the first king of Númenor. His ancestor Arvedui was wedded to Fíriel, who bore their son Aranarth, making Aragorn the last descendant of Anárion as well. When Aragorn was only two years old, his father Arathorn was killed while pursuing orcs. Aragorn was afterwards fostered in Rivendell by Elrond. At the request of his mother, his lineage was kept secret, as she feared he would be killed like his father and grandfather if his true identity as the descendant of Elendil and Heir of Isildur became known. Aragorn was renamed Estel and was not told about his heritage until 2951. Elrond revealed to “Estel” his true name and ancestry when he was twenty, and gave to him the Ring of Barahir and the Shards of Narsil. Elrond withheld the Sceptre of Annúminas from Aragorn until he “came of the right” to possess the item.

They did not find the Hobbits, but they did find Gandalf the White, sent back from Valinor to continue his struggle against Sauron. Gandalf told the Three Hunters that the Hobbits were safe with the Ents of Fangorn.

Aragorn healed Faramir, Denethor’s last heir, winning him the immediate recognition of Faramir as rightful heir to the throne; his humility and self-sacrifice gained him the hearts of the inhabitants of Gondor’s capital city. Aragorn’s healing abilities, moreover, were a sign to the people of Gondor of the identity of their true king; as Ioreth said, “The hands of the King are the hands of a healer, and so shall the rightful king be known.” The people hailed him as King that same evening.

(In Sindarin, this becomes Edhelharn.) He became the twenty-sixth King of Arnor, thirty-fifth King of Gondor and the first High King of the Reunited Kingdom, though it would be several years before his authority was firmly re-established in Arnor. His line was referred to as the House of Telcontar (Telcontar being Quenya for “Strider“).
Death and End of Reign
When in the year 120 of the Fourth Age, King Elessar realised his days were at an end, he went to the House of the Kings in the Silent Street. He said farewell to his son Eldarion and his daughters and gave Eldarion his crown and sceptre. Arwen remained at Aragorn’s side until he died. Shortly a year after Aragorn died, Arwen soon died of a broken heart. Eldarion began his reign as the Second King of the Reunited Kingdom after his father’s and mother’s death.

Aragorn’s skills in battle lay primarily in his sword craft. He was a mighty warrior with the sword and easily defeated many types of foes, ranging from large groups of orcs to far more powerful foes such as Trolls and Ringwraiths, evident throughout various battles like Helm’s Deep and the Morannon. In each case, Aragorn’s finesse in battle has served him greatly and earned him much recognition and respect from both the Fellowship of the Ring and the people of Rohan and Gondor. He was arguably the greatest swordsman of the Third Age, surpassing the likes of Faramir, Boromir and perhaps even Elrond. Aragorn’s sword is Andúril, Flame of the West, the reforged sword Narsil, Elendil’s blade that Isildur used to cut the One Ring from Sauron’s hand. Aragorn uses it with the same skill the Numenoreans had long ago.
