On 10 June 2010, al-Qathafi launched a sharp attack on the International Federation of Football star- ‘al-Viva’-, describing him as a “corrupt global mafia organization” which “messed up the world and we must fight it.”

The Libyan leader continued by saying:

al-Qathafi accused FIFA as being the system of slavery, and of trafficking in human beings from the continent of Africa to Europe, America and South America to Europe as well; and in charge of the machine criticized for a football game in the world, for not doing enough of measures to eradicate racism.
al-Qathafi said FIFA has strengthened the global trend of racism. And the extreme right. The witness of this is that FIFA supports sport- clubs which are racist associations, even extreme right-wing associations …
Where is the conscience of the world? al-Qathafi pointed out, that it was better to spend billions of dollars spent on hosting the ‘World Cup’ on poor people and the fight against poverty. He also suggested that the host country should be the country that wins the ‘World Cup’, following the tournament.
He said this is the solution. Otherwise, you must cancel FIFA gravity on the world financially and morally.
