In 2006, the Libyan leader Muammar al-Gaddafi made himself an Imam of Timbuktu during Mouloud, the celebration
of the Prophet Mohammed’s birthday which draws thousands of pilgrims to a famed mosque in the northwestern desert city.
He then paid for hundreds of Africans, including heads of state, to come to Timbuktu on Libyan aircraft and pray with him in a stadium
of the town he publically declared his favourite.

Al-Gaddafi Speaks – The brother-leader of the al-Fateh ’69 Revolution leads Presidents and Muslims from different parts of the
world in prayer, and delivers a speech in Timbuktu, 10 MAY 2006:

“Lo! Allah and His angels shower blessings on the Prophet. O ye who believe! Ask blessings on him and salute him with a worthy salutation.”
From the historic city of Timbuktu, we address the Islamic nation and the world on a great day in the history of humanity. On this day, Monday 12 Rabi-al Awwal, this glorious day in the annals of humanity, Mohammad, the Seal of all Prophets was born. On the same day, He, the Seal of all Prophets also died.
Mankind has two landmark dates, dates that must stand out: the first was the day when Jesus, peace be upon him, was born, because his birth was indeed one of God’s miracles. The second was this day, the day on which the Seal of all Prophets was born, and the day on which he died. On this very day, Monday the 12 of Rabi al-Awwal 633 years after the Birth of Jesus, Mohammad, the Seal of all Prophets, died. Ever since that day, there were no further revelations from heavens to earth and its people, Heavens has remained silent, and shall so remain until the day of judgment. “And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed. For what day is the time appointed? For the Day of Decision”. Humanity heard the last words from heavens through Mohammad.
Regrettably, the history we currently read is false. It lacks truth. They wrongly assume that Mohammad is the Prophet of Arabs and Muslims alone. Wrong. Mohammad is the Prophet of all people; his message superseded earlier faiths. Had Jesus been alive when the message was revealed to Mohammad he would have been one of his followers? Everyone must be Muslim. This is what God wants, and this is not easily achievable.
The Religion before Allah is Islam (submission to His Will): “If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah, never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All spiritual good)”. Abraham, Jacob, Isaac, Ishmael and all the Tribes were Muslims; all the Prophets were advocating Islam and Mohammad was the seal of those prophets.
We heard that some people insulted the Prophet…Muslims were angry. They believed that this action was a defamation of their prophet. Nevertheless, whoever insulted Mohammad was in fact slandering his own prophet, because Mohammad is the prophet of those who live in Scandinavia, Europe, America, Asia and Africa. The curriculum they read in Scandinavia is flawed, and it incites hatred. They thought that Mohammad is not their prophet; Mohammad is the prophet of all the people.
If we claimed to be supporters of the freedom of expression, we would have expected to see a picture of Jesus with a nuclear bomb on his head because the followers of Jesus manufactured nuclear bombs. They drew a picture of Mohammad with a small handmade bomb on his head…Mohammad is innocent; he had nothing to do with the bomb. They meant that his followers are using the bomb. Jesus, PBUH, is also innocent, and has nothing to do with the nuclear bomb, but the followers of Jesus developed the nuclear bomb. If we insist on the freedom of expression and the freedom of the press, we expect to see a picture of Jesus with a nuclear bomb on his head, although Mohammad had nothing to do with the hand made bomb and Jesus had nothing to do with the nuclear bomb. They also drew a picture of Mohammad surrounded by veiled women, because Muslim women are veiled, we expect to see a picture of Jesus surrounded by naked women because Christian women are naked. In Scandinavia, women are naked and they claim to be followers of Jesus. Of course, Jesus is innocent. He has nothing to do with naked women, and Mohammad has nothing to do with masked women. Nevertheless, the freedom of the press on which they depended requires that they depict Jesus surrounded by women just as Mohammad was depicted surrounded by women.
Eventually, the approach pursued by the West, Europe and the United States incites hatred. It is corrupt, inhuman and flawed. The so-called Old Testament and the New Testament are not the Old and the New Testament.
Those two Testaments are a fraud. They were hand written hundreds of years after Jesus. The Bible includes words that do not befit Jesus and Moses. If we truly want to set humanity’s record straight, and to live in the global village that was brought about by globalization, we have to search for the true Bible because the Bible that we currently have is a forged.
The Bible that you have today does not refer to Mohammad although the Bible that God revealed repeatedly refers to Mohammad.
We need to search for the Gospel of Barnabas (Barnabas the Apostle). It is the true Bible, the one that speaks in detail about Muhammad who will come after Jesus, whose faith will supersede that of Jesus, and who shall be God’s messenger to all people.
This is what Jesus says in the true Bible. It is not the false Bible that is currently in circulation. This is God’s word.
Jesus, the son of Mary, said: “O Children of Israel! I am the apostle of Allah (sent) to you”. Jesus was actually addressing the Israelites, which means that Jesus brought his message to the Israelites only and not to any other nation. Europe has nothing to do with Jesus’ religion, America has nothing to do with Jesus’ religion and Africa has nothing to do Jesus’ religion. Jesus told them: “O Children of Israel! I am the apostle of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me,” which means he was talking to the Israelites. Jesus did not bring out the Old Testament, he was talking about the Book of Moses, in other words, he was asking the followers of Moses to renounce the faith of Moses and embrace that of Jesus when Jesus came. For the same reason the followers of Jesus must renounce the faith of Jesus and embrace the faith of Muhammad after Jesus.
Had Moses been alive when Jesus came Moses would have embraced Christianity. Those who continued to follow the Faith of Moses and did not follow Jesus were wrong. Had Jesus been alive when Muhammad came Jesus would have embraced Islam, and those who continued to follow the faith of Jesus after Muhammad came are wrong.
From Timbuktu, we are trying to correct the history of humanity. Jesus said: O Children of Israel! I am the apostle of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me, and giving Glad Tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad. Is this sentence in the Bible today? It is not there although Jesus said it to the Israelites…What this means is that they deleted the words of Jesus. God told us that these words were deleted from the Bible because Jesus told them that another prophet would come after him, his name is Ahmad, which is Muhammad. Therefore, what they call the Sacred Book is not the Sacred Book that God revealed to Jesus and Moses.
If they wanted to live in Peace with us, they have to establish committees to reconsider the Western approach and the Bible itself because it is forged.
American and Islamic committees were established to reconsider school curricula in Islamic countries. Islamic/American committees should be also established to reconsider the American and European curricula.
For their information, Moses was mentioned 16 times in the Koran. Why haven’t we deleted these references? The Koran is the word of God and we cannot delete the word of God because if we do we will be infidels. They nevertheless struck out any reference in the Old and New Testament to Muhammad. We Challenge them to publish the Gospel of Barnabas. There are 33 references in the Koran to Mary. Why did we not delete these references? Because this is the word of God and we cannot change it.
Jesus, PBUH is mentioned 25 times in the Koran. We cannot tamper with the references because this is the word of god. The Koran also refers to Mary, Moses and Jesus. It glorifies them, and recognizes that they were holly and sacred. However, Muhammad is not mentioned in the Bible although the reference used to be there. God referred to Mohammad. Therefore, the Bible is counterfeit. Only the Koran is not. God asked the prophet Mohammad to say” “O men! I am sent unto you all, as the Messenger of Allah,” and God calls upon all men to follow his messenger, the illiterate prophet of whom the Old and the New Testament spoke. However, the copies that are in circulation now do not refer to this which means they are counterfeit.
You should not be upset because God says: “It is He Who hath sent His Messenger with guidance and the Religion of Truth, to proclaim it over all religion, even though the Pagans may detest (it)”.
God repeated this verse twice in two of the Koran Surahs to “to proclaim it over all religion, even though the Pagans may detest (it)”.
Do not get upset because Mohammad’s faith will conquer all other religions whether they like that or not. God said so.
We do not need the sword or the bomb to spread Islam. We have fifty million Muslims in Europe and there are signs that God will proclaim Islam in Europe without a gun and without conquest. The fifty million Muslims in Europe will change Europe in the years and make it an Islamic continent. God ordained that an Islamic nation, Turkey would now join the European Union. These fifty million Muslims will multiply into a hundred million Muslims in Europe. Bosnia is a member of the EU, it is a Muslim country; rather, at least fifty percent of its people are Muslims. Statistics show that there are thousands of mosques in Europe. We have thousands of Islamic organizations and societies in Europe.
Both Europe and America are cornered. They either have to accept the fact that they will be Muslim in due course, or they should declare war against Muslims. As long as Muhammad is a Prophet for all people as the Koran has it, then all the people are called upon to heed the call of Muhammad. God told Muhammad: “And proclaim unto mankind the Pilgrimage. They will come unto thee on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every deep ravine. “. He asked him to invite all the people to undertake the pilgrimage to Mecca, not only the Arabs, not only the Muslims. He did that because Mohammad is a prophet of all the people and because Mecca is the first house in which God was worshiped on earth.
God says in the Koran that “The first House (of worship) appointed for men was that at Bakka: Full of blessing and of guidance for all kinds of beings”. He means the people and not the Arabs, not the Muslims. He means the people of the World at large. It is the first house built on earth to worship God, and it was built for all the people. “Pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to Allah, – those who can afford the journey;” He did not say the Arabs and the Muslims should undertake the pilgrimage, he said the people, all of them. He further says: Remember “We made the House a place of assembly for men and a place of safety”, by that He means a “gathering place”. Everyone has the right to undertake the pilgrimage to Mecca, to circle the Ka’aba, to walk between al-Safa and al-Marwa, to stand on Arafat and to throw pebbles at the stone pillar of the devil at Aqaba.
All the people, not only Arabs and Muslims are called upon to circle the Ka’aba because this is the house of God, for all the people. All the people, not only Arabs and Muslims are called upon to walk between Safa and Marwa. All the people, not only Arabs and Muslims are called upon to attend Arafat. All the people are called upon to stone the devil pillar.
What goes on today is a mistake that we made. What should prevent people from making the pilgrimage to the House of God, for what reason? Why wouldn’t Jews and Christians circle the Ka’aba if they are called upon to abandon Judaism and Christianity and heed the call of Muhammad?
God said to Muhammad “Mohammad, ask the people to circle the Ka’aba”. He said the people owe me this. They must come and circle the Old House. We have no reason to prevent them from doing so.
If the French, the American or the Italian President came to you and said, “I will heed the call and will go around the Ka’aba”, what would our answer be? We have no argument. There is only one verse in the Koran that says “O ye who believe! Truly the Pagans are unclean; so let them not, after this year of theirs, approach the Sacred Mosque”. Do we tell them you are unclean and you are pagans? Do we challenge them? Shall we tell the American President when he comes to do the pilgrimage you are unclean and you are a pagan?
He will respond: I am not a “polytheist” and I am not “unclean”, how do you accuse me of that? If I were unclean, how do you shake my hand, eat and drink with me? How do you befriend me and consider me your ally? If I were unclean, do not touch me. He will say, “I am not unclean, and I am not a polytheist, then he will present the dollar bill that you use for your transactions and say: here you go, read the words written on the dollar that you use. It says, according to the translator “In God We Trust”.
The polytheists and the unclean cannot be at a close proximity from the Sacred Mosque. However, who is the polytheist, the unclean? No one among the People of the Book says I am a polytheist and I am unclean. The Koran says that the polytheist and the unclean cannot perform the Hajj. Nevertheless, the People of the Book are neither polytheists nor unclean.
This is a new controversy and a new challenge that emerges on this great day from Timbuktu. Today, the world is reconsidering statements that have so far been taken for granted.
I have at hand some statistics. In Europe today, there are 50 million Muslims, 14 thousand mosques and Islamic Centers and 15 hundred Islamic societies and organizations. Over the years, the numbers are bound to increase, in addition to Turkey, Bosnia and Albania. Consequently, the words that God proclaimed in the Koran are coming true. “It is He Who hath sent His Messenger with guidance and the Religion of Truth, to proclaim it over all religion, even though the Pagans may detest (it)”.
Islam is the fate of mankind and the faith of humanity. This is the word of God. It is the will of God. God is great.
This is a new challenge, the new rumblings which the world shall soon hear coming from Timbuktu.
It is a great day indeed, the day on which the Seal of All Prophets was born and on which he died. The calendar should be based on the birth year of Jesus, because his birth was a miracle and the year in which Muhammad, the Seal of All Prophets died. 2006 years passed since the miracle birth of Jesus, and 1374 passed since the death of the Seal of All Prophets. Therefore, mankind must now refer to the following when writing down the dates: 2006 A.D. corresponding to 1374 after the death of the Prophet. This question must have become clear to the world.
One may ask though why have we chosen Timbuktu and not any other place in the Islamic world as the place from which to present this challenge? In response, I say we did because this village, or rather this oasis is historic from both the religious and social point of view.
Timbuktu was once the place from which the light of Islam radiated across the African continent and all over the Islamic world. It is a great glory bestowed on the people of Timbuktu. Timbuktu was a beacon shining over the horizons. There were scholars who dedicated their lives in this oasis in the middle of the desert to spread the word of God. However, something happened. The enemies of God changed the Books. They are the enemies of Mohammad the Seal of all of God’s Prophets, the enemies of the Book of God, the Koran, and the book that “Falsehood cannot come at it from before it or behind it”. God preserves it intact; it will not be changed. Nevertheless, the other Books, God told us were changed and falsehood came at these books. Where are the tablets of Moses, the Psalms revealed to David, the Covenants of Shu’aib (Jethro), of Saleh, Idris, Noah, Elisha, Zul-Kifl, and Yunus, also known as Thal-Noon? Where are their covenants? Falsehood came at these Books. They were compromised. Where is the Gospel of Barnabas? They burnt it, but God said that “Falsehood cannot come at” the Koran “from before it or behind it”. Have you heard any Muslim curse Moses, Jesus or Mary? We simply cannot do that, for if we did, it will be as if we are cursing our own prophet and our other recognized prophets.
A citizen wrote to me proposing that we respond to this challenge by naming every newborn male Muhammad or Ahmad, and every newborn female Fatima (after the daughter of the Prophet, or Aisha (after the wife of the Prophet).
Those who hate the Book of God heard that in the Great Desert there is a beacon called Timbuktu. They decided to extinguish this light. They embarked on a quest for Timbuktu. Europe set on a quest for Timbuktu, but could not locate it because there were no maps at the time. They occupied Tunisia and before it Algeria, the Senegal and Chad. They sent exploration campaigns to the Great Desert. One of the missions cruised the River Niger. The people of Timbuktu asked the explorers: “what are you doing here?” They responded: “we came to follow the river”. This is a lie. They had embarked on exploration campaigns; they sent missions they described as “geographic exploration missions”. They even gave these missions many names. These missions were made of reconnaissance and intelligence officers who came to Timbuktu to occupy it and extinguish the light emanating from this beacon so that God’s religion will not spread. They were a team of the people of the book. They entered the village, wrote down the names of the tribes, got to know the tribal Sheikhs and the traders drew maps of the roads that lead to Timbuktu and found that people did not have weapons. They were good people who only had books, knowledge and the Koran.
In Europe, they drew up the plan, and then they advanced on Timbuktu from every direction, from Tunisia, Senegal and Chad. They destroyed and occupied it and took their revenge. They took the books and threw them into the Niger River, and turned its mosques into stables for their horses. Finally, they filled up the canal that used to bring the water of the Niger River to Timbuktu. Your Libyan brothers decided to re-open the canal so that the river water will reach Timbuktu. God willing, water shall flow again through the canal that the colonialists filled up to reach Timbuktu.
This is the old historical conspiracy hatched against Timbuktu. It is extremely possible that Timbuktu could face another new conspiracy, but we shall review the elements of the old conspiracy. To succeed in re-occupying the desert, they have send new exploration missions and give these missions new names. They can call them the Peace Corps, which is a neo-colonialist group made up of intelligence officers, reconnaissance officers, and others who could be called Journalists without Borders, Doctors without Borders and advocates of the environment. They call them missionary groups, or teams. They give these groups modern names in order to re-occupy the great desert. However, from Timbuktu we declare the second challenge. We spoke about the first challenge, the challenge of religion, the Pilgrimage to the Ka’aba, the curriculum that needs to be changed. Now we come to the second challenge, the national social challenge of colonialism.
To them we say if you intend to occupy the Great Desert, we need to warn you before you dig in your heels. We tell you that the people of the deserts are like lions, like vultures and that the sand of the deserts can turn into embers, its stones into cinders and its air into flames and fire.
We warn you before you get embroiled in the desert that if you were to build bases in the desert you will be humiliating the people of the desert. You will colonize the desert, you will abuse the desert, and you want to exploit the riches of the desert, which ultimately means that you will be undermining peace and stability in the desert. Our desert and we the inhabitants of the desert will turn into lions and hawks; will turn into embers, cinders and open fire. Forewarned is forearmed.
We, the peoples of the desert meeting here on this great day, the anniversary of the birth and death of the Seal of all Prophets will make peace with those who make peace with us, and will fight those who fight us. The Koran says “And if they incline to peace, inclines thou also to it”. If they love peace, we are peace-loving people. If they aggress and wage attacks against us, undermine our independence and compromise our desert we will become a colossal force that will enflame the deserts from Mauritania and Senegal to Iraq and the Syrian Desert. We the people of the Great Desert have one identity only, that of the Great Desert dwellers. We lived for tens of thousands of years in this Desert. We lived here free. We want to be free in this desert from Senegal and Mauritania to the Fertile Crescent.
This is our land, this is our extended home, and we are one family. The family is made up of many individuals, each with his own name. One is called Tuareg, another Barabeesh, the third Senegalese, the Fulani, the Bambara, the Tebu, the sons of Ali, the Tribes of the Sudan, the Tribes of Chad, of Niger, of the East and West Nile Desert, of Sinai, of Jordan and the Syrian Desert, of the Arabian Peninsula, the tribes of Iraq and the Fertile Crescent. Those are the names of the members of the same family, and this family makes up the inhabitants of the Great Desert. We shall come to each other’s rescue, we shall defend each other, and we shall not desert each other nor carry arms against each other.
We shall extend our hands in friendship, cooperate in war and build our Desert. We will live in peace, security and stability. This is the extended family of the people of the desert. We will carry arms under one condition, which is against an external act of aggression. We shall die for the Desert. Our blood will flow into its sands. We, however, will not give up one grain of its sands.
From the Fertile Crescent to the River of Senegal, the Tribes of the Desert will not engage in a fratricidal war. We shall not carry arms against one another. We live as one family. We protect the desert.
Throughout time, there were people who coveted our desert. We must unite to establish one big association for the Tribes of the Great Desert. We shall frame a charter that we will all sign and call “The Charter of Timbuktu”. There are kings, sultans, sheikhs and tribal elders from all the tribes of the Great Desert who stand by our side. There are also leaders of Islamic states, organizations, parties, groups and Islamic institutions from various parts of the world. We also have our brother Louis Farrakhan, the Leader of the Nation of Islam in America.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
During the life of the Prophet (saw) (570-632 CE)*
The Prophet (saw) used to recite the Qur’an before angel Jibril (Gabriel) once every Ramadan,
but he recited it twice
(in the same order we have today) in the last Ramadan before his death. Jibril also taught the Prophet (saw) the seven modes of recitation.
Each verse received was recited by the Prophet, and its location relative to other verses and surahs was identified by him.
Abu Bakr entrusted Zaid Ibn Thabit with the task of collecting the Qur’an. Zaid had been present during the last recitation of the Qur’an by the Prophet to Angel Jibril (Gabriel).
After the battle of Yamamah, where heavy casualties were suffered among the reciters who memorized the Qur’an, Umar Ibn Al-Khattab urged Abu Bakr to preserve and compile the Qur’an.
Zaid Ibn Thabit, with the help of the companions who memorized and wrote verses of the Qur’an, accomplished the task and handed Abu Bakr the first authenticated copy of the Qur’an. The copy was kept in the residence of Hafsa, daughter of Umar and wife of the Prophet. During the caliphate of Uthman (644-656 CE)

a curious footnote from a Russian site:
Archangel Gabriel/Jabril – His name means “the Lord – my strength” or “Man of God”, is a white ray of purity. Gabriel recognized the three major religions – Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
Archangel Gabriel (Abruel, Jibril, Jiburili, Serafili Gabriel). Also known as Abru (Abruel), Gabriel, Seraph (s), Gabriel, Dzhiburili.
It was he who told Elizabeth and Mary of the impending birth of their sons – John the Baptist and Jesus of Nazareth. Archangel Gabriel dictated the text of Mohammed Muslim holy book – the Koran. Thus, Gabriel has established itself as the “angel messenger.” The mission of Gabriel in the world – to help parents.
Gabriel/Jabril has long been known as a mighty and powerful Archangel, and those who call upon him, very soon discover that they have pushed for action, which necessarily leads to outstanding results. Gabriel confidently be called the Angel of action.
He says: “I’m here to help those who speaks and speaks on behalf of the society and its needs. Advocacy is very old, and over time it changed a few things related to the inevitable technological progress. Now and in other spheres of life and art of the ability to speak has come to play an important role, giving the power of people who want to change and respectful attitude. Allow me to provide opportunities for those of you who listens to his heart, to express, to play and create a work of the highest level. “

Gaddafi’s residence while he was in Mali, stretches over several hectares in the north of the desert town of Timbuktu,
once a renowned intellectual and religious centre during the 15th and 16th centuries, helping to spread Islam throughout Africa.
Through a screen, the dusty interior is visible as hundreds of date palms, flown in specially from Libya, and eucalyptus
trees wilt in the heat. A large motor-pump in the middle of the poorly-maintained lawn obviously long out of commission.
There is also a Libyan-owned hotel which has cost millions of euros and is still not complete.
“The Libyan people will win. I am part of the team which watches over Libyan interests in Timbuktu,” says the mustachioed “boss” at the half-built hotel.
Another one of Gaddafi’s projects, a water canal completed in 2007, was meant to divert water from the Niger river to Timbuktu. But since the NATO-led war, the Canal is dry and silted up.
“Now that Gaddafi’s has problems, the canal risks having problems too,” says a concerned Mohamed Iddi, member of the Timbuktu Association of Young Muslims.
“Here in Timbuktu, there are dozens of schools and Koranic masters who earn a monthly subsidy from Libya. In the new situation we don’t know where this money will come from.
“Do not think it is because Gaddafi supports us financially that he is supported in his stand-off against the West. It is because he is a Muslim like us, and he is a victim of an unfair attack,” says Mohamed Iddi.
Timbuktu, like other towns in Mali including the capital Bamako, has held marches in support of al-Gaddafi.

It’s instructive to study a map of Mali, contender for the world’s strangest-shaped country – two pyramids of land placed end to end, one bigger than the other, stuck at a strange angle slap bang in the middle of Africa’s bulge. Bamako, the capital, is in the far south and as you head north you can see the country is relatively densely populated, the map littered with the strange and exotic names of cities, towns and villages. It’s in this area that the authority of Mali’s government holds sway – a poor, struggling government, but one that’s been democratic for nearly 20 years, and under the leadership of President Amadou Toumani Toure is one of Africa’s rare success stories.
But when you reach the strangest and most exotic name of them all, this democracy, governance, development and population density suddenly stops, along with the rule of law. North of Timbuktu – on the map, at least – is nothing but white space. Timbuktu, ancient seat of the Malian Empire and a modern byword for the back side of beyond, is Mali’s final frontier between it and the vast wilderness of the Sahel.
Mali has historically had a huge problem with the Tuaregs, an ancient nomadic tribe that doesn’t really recognise borders and certainly doesn’t recognise the authority of the government in Bamako – or any government for that matter. If the Tuaregs sound vaguely familiar, that’s because they were heavily involved with Muammar Gaddafi and the old Libya, and the huge convoys of trucks and guns speeding out of Libya in the last days of the revolution were said to be composed mainly of Tuareg fighters getting out while they still could. Plenty of them have ended up in Mali, and their presence has sparked something of a resurgence in the decades old Tuareg rebellion against the Mali government. A new rebel front has been announced, and there have been a few skirmishes between Tuaregs and government forces.

Libyan official: Gaddafi hiding in southern desert

Published Tuesday, 11 October 2011
An official on Libya’s governing council said Monday that he believes Muammar Gaddafi is hiding in the southwestern desert near the borders with Niger and Algeria, but denied allegations that the Tuareg minority ethnic group is protecting the fugitive leader.
Moussa Al-Kouni, who is a Tuareg representative on the revolution’s leadership body, claimed Gaddafi had sent his son Khamis to the area to set up a radio station and make preparations for a possible escape route two months before Tripoli fell to revolutionary forces in late August.
Al-Kouni provided no evidence, saying he based his assertion on the fact that the Gaddafi regime had used the area before because it has rough terrain and porous borders that would make detection difficult. He also pointed out that Gadhdfi had cultivated close ties with the Niger government and could even be going back and forth across the border.
“As far as I am aware, Gaddafi is in that region … on the border with Niger,” he told reporters in Tripoli, adding that Gaddafi could get safe passage through Niger to Mali, where he allegedly has a house in Timbuktu.
Gaddafi’s residence stretches over several hectares in the north of the desert town. Through a screen, the dusty interior is visible as hundreds of date palms, flown in specially from Libya, and eucalyptus trees wilt in the heat. A large motor-pump in the middle of the poorly-maintained lawn obviously long out of commission.
The greatest manipulator of the Touaregs is no doubt Muamar Gaddafi, who for decades promoted the idea of a Touareg Kingdom. Such initiative was meant to foment rebellions in the Sahara/Sahel in an effort to undermine neighboring nations and propel himself into a greater leadership role. Such initiative culminated in 2005 in Timbuktu when Gaddafi and some Touareg chiefs agreed on the creation of the Greater Sahara Federation to the dismay of neighboring nations. Gaddafi’s fall simply means the end of such unreachable dream while the fate of the Touaregs remains highly uncertain.
The use and manipulation of the Touareg tribes has never been so clearer than during the NATO-led “civil” war that brought the Gaddafi regime down. The anti-Touareg lobbyists in Mali and Niger are working overtime to further weaken their Touareg populations that have long suffered from economic and social exclusion. The fall of Gaddafi, while welcomed by the West and NATO, does not necessary bode well for the Touaregs in Mali and Niger, in particular, as we expect retaliations to add more fuel to the state of crisis affecting the region.
Some military officials have alleged Tuaregs are helping Gadhafi survive and remain hidden in the vast southern desert. The nomadic community, which spans the desert border of Niger, Mali, Libya, Algeria and Chad, has long been among Gaddafi’s strongest supporters and many fought for him during the civil war.
Al-Kouni acknowledged that some of Gaddafi’s Tuareg recruits may still be helping him but insisted the community as a whole was not. He expressed concern that the allegations were causing harmful divisions between Tuaregs and other Libyans.
Niger has put Gaddafi’s son al-Saadi under house arrest.
There has been much speculation about Gadhdfi’s whereabouts since the erratic leader and two of his sons went underground as revolutionary forces swept into the capital.

Mauritania: Displaced Malians Burden Food-Insecure Hosts
Bamako/Dakar — Some 12,000 Malians have fled fighting in the towns of Ménaka and Anderamboucane in northern Mali and reached already food-insecure villages around Tillabéri in western Niger, according to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Niger’s capital, Niamey.
The Malian refugees are spread across the villages of Mangaizé, Chinégodar, Koutoubou, Yassan and Ayorou in Niger, according to the Malian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the bulk of them – an estimated 7,000 – in Chinégodar, which is usually home to 1,500, according to Franck Kuwonu at the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Niamey.
Fighting broke out between Touareg rebels and former soldiers from Libya, and the Malian army in mid-January. Rebel groups and former Libya fighters have reportedly acquired fresh weapons as a result of the Libya conflict and have launched a new movement, the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad (MNLA), which calls for the creation of an independent state encompassing the regions of Gao, Kidal and Timbuktu in northern Mali.

Niger’s Tillabéri region has been hardest hit by the 2011 drought and poor harvest and many inhabitants are already facing severe food insecurity, according to the government and aid agencies. Though assessments are still under way, the government estimated late last year that just under half of Niger’s population would be short of food this year.
“Chinégodar doesn’t even have enough grain to feed its own small population,” said Kuwonu, noting there are three tons of millet in the cereal bank. Millet prices in the area are 24,000 CFA francs (US$50) per 100kg bag, up from 19,000 CFA francs ($40) this time last year.
The ICRC and NGO Médecins Sans Frontières have been quickest to respond to refugees’ needs, the former having repaired water pumps in stressed host towns and distributed some blankets, shelter materials and food; the latter sending a nurse with basic medical supplies to help those in need.
However, logistics are slow said Kuwonu, and more food and shelter is needed. The ICRC spokesperson in Niamey, Germain Mwehu, told IRIN there is enough aid to meet immediate needs but not over the long-term.
An inter-agency UN mission evaluated the area last week and agency representatives are meeting tomorrow to discuss their response. Oxfam has also assessed the situation. All agencies will closely coordinate with the government on their response, said Kowonu.
Heading for Mauritania, Burkina, Guinea
According to PANA Press, some 6,000 Malians have also fled fighting in Léré, Niafunké and Goundam in Mali’s northern Timbuktu region, and are sheltering in Fassala Néré in Mauritania, some 1,260km east of the capital Nouakchott. A number of the children among them are allegedly severely malnourished, according to local NGO Association for Research and Development in Mauritania.
The local authorities and UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) are currently assessing the situation in more detail, UNHCR spokesperson Elise Villechalane told IRIN from Nouakchott. An unknown number of Malians have also fled east to Burkina Faso and western Guinea, says the ICRC in Mali.
Meanwhile, an unknown number of Malians are fleeing south to Mopti, some 640km north of the capital Bamako, and to Bamako itself.
Amina Coulibaly, a producer with national radio in Gao, eastern Mali, told IRIN from the capital: “Fighting has not yet broken out in Gao [town] but given that it is one of the places the Touaregs want to make part of their republic, I prefer to leave now.”
Mali has been struggling for several years to contain rebel groups in the north, the rising power of Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) factions, and widespread contraband traffickers in its northern regions.

World’s First University: Timbuktu
Unknown to many in the educated world. The first University in the world was the Sankore University in Timbuktu, capital of Mali.
The University was organized around three great Masajids or Mosques: The Masajid of Jingaray Ber, The Masajid of Sidi Yahya, The Masajid of Sankore. Masajids are places of worship for Muslims. Not only did students seek knowledge, but they also purified their souls through the sciences of Islam. Islam breeds leaders that are God fearing, just, honest, trustworthy and of excellent moral character. Graduate students were the embodiment of the teachings of the Holy Qur’an [and the traditions of Mohammed, the Prophet of Islam, known as the Hadeth–but not officially sanctioned by Muammar al-Qathafi as binding, and therefore not accepted as Law of the Holy JAMAHIRIYA]. The great library of Sankore boasts of a collection of over 700,000 manuscripts.
Around the 12th century, the University of Timbuktu had an attendance of 25, 000 students in a city which had a population of 100,000 people. The students came from all corners of the African continent in search of excellence in knowledge and trade. On graduation day, students were given Turbans. The turban symbolizes Divine light, wisdom, knowledge and excellent moral conduct. The turban represents the demarcation line between knowledge and ignorance. Timbuktu’s literary output was enormous, and included works covering the history of Africa and southern Europe, religion, mathematics, medicine and law. There were manuscripts detailing the movement of the stars, possible cures for malaria and remedies for menstrual pain.
Zouber says he immediately realized the manuscripts’ primary source importance. “Colonizers had always argued that they were here to civilize Africa,” he says. “But there were many points of light. Clearly Africa was not living in obscurity.”
In 1979, Zouber, the President’s counselor, bought 25 Timbuktu manuscripts from the daughter of a former French diplomat who had been stationed in Mali and had taken them with him when he left; Zouber tracked her down in Cannes and paid about $25,000 for the lot. “Now they’re worth perhaps 10 times that amount,” he says.
Their astronomers didn’t follow the European leap to a sun-centered solar system, but they sprang far ahead in the mathematics of calendar writing — far ahead in trigonometry. The writings detail astronomic events six hundred years ago. Scholars, racing to translate this huge trove of literature, now wonder what these ancients knew of medicine, botany, chemistry and climatology. How did the knowledge of other regions flow through this glittering outpost? How much new science did it create?
But, the romantic image is hard to get around. In a recent survey of young Britons, a third thought Timbuktu was imaginary. The rest found the very name to be mystical. For most of us it remains a location in our imaginations — not in geography or history.

Gaddafi’s residence while he was in Mali, stretches over several hectares in the north of the desert town, once a renowned intellectual and religious centre during the 15th and 16th centuries, helping to spread Islam throughout Africa.
Through a screen, the dusty interior is visible as hundreds of date palms, flown in specially from Libya, and eucalyptus trees wilt in the heat. A large motor-pump in the middle of the poorly-maintained lawn obviously long out of commission.

Mountainous terrain hampering Gaddafi hunt by NTC

There has been much speculation about Gadhdfi’s whereabouts since the leader and two of his sons went underground as revolutionary forces swept into the capital.
In the JAMAHIRIYA, everyone is armed to protect:

A series addressing the role of the Green Charter Movement and the International People’s Conference Organization in relation to (r)evolution and power in the light of The Green Book
Human Rights and Democracy: Historical Background The “western world”, specifically that minority elite that euphemistically calls itself the “international community” has, since using the world as a stage for what would be more accurately called the Second European Imperialist War, in a competing power grab among European colonial regimes for power and dominion over the world’s resources, used “human rights” and “democracy” as well as “freedom” as slogans for carrying out its violent and hegemonistic policies around the world. Those who are aware of the nefarious ambitions of this “international mafia” do not agree on a common name to describe this “western elite” nor on the exact players. Some refer to that minority who, along with the British Royal Family have exerted control over the majority of the world’s resources, as “banksters”, others as Zionists, others as “the global elite”, and so forth. All are however agreed on the lack of any justification for a criminal minority to seize and monopolize most of the power, wealth, information and other resources of the world in what amounts to violent and gigantic theft. This international mafia, which owes no allegiance to any particular nation, but blindly peruses its ambitions of total “full spectrum” dominance and control, has changed its language over the years and refined its slogans in order to deceive the masses and make its goals and reason d’etre sound more reasonable, using terms such as “globalisation”, “new world order”, “international community”, “environmental concern”. Its historic roots and goals however, have not changed over the centuries.A hundred years ago, before the age of mass communications, its methods did not require refinement nor pretence. Gun powder, laws, money, trickery, brute force, poison, mass extermination, genocide, spreading of disease, mass supply of opium, any and every means were used to achieve their main aims: theft and control. Almost the entire world came under their direct rule, and millions of lives were lost, millions more placed into misery and poverty resulted for generations to come, even today.Other elites were formed in the East, and competing regimes used ideologies such as fascism, capitalism, even communism, and deliberate misinterpretation and abuse of religions to spread their control over the earth’s limited resources. “Lebensraum” expansion whether for Anglo-Saxon, German, Japanese, Russian or “Israeli” elites was gained for their dominions. These days, entire nations which had achieved some limited measure of independence and symbols such as governments, flags, national banks, or more advanced forms of freedom and control over their national resources such as Libya, were occupied and millions of people murdered as “collateral damage” in wars under the guise of “protection”, “human rights”, “western democracy”. No matter the guise, thanks to global mass communications, those who wish to know the truth are able to see the contradiction between pretence and reality.Moral Responsibilities Every human being is born free into this world, but everywhere people are in chains. Even those who believe they live in freedom, such as the western populations, will rapidly discover how violent their authorities and system are, if they attempt to exert their basic human right to rent-free housing and free health care and if they refuse to pay government bills or taxes. Since among other things, basic rights such as health, education and housing are required by every member of a nation, and for the benefit of the entire nation, it logically follows that the national resources of each nation should firstly be used to provide all those needs for the citizens of that nation. However, any glance at any western country or state, will immediately reveal that the national wealth, which should belong to no particular individual or group but to all nationals, is firmly in the private hands of a few: at the peak, the usual international mafia. Under the guise of providing expertise in mining for example, these elites formed private companies or corporate conglomerates, and do not answer to the mass of citizens, and only in a limited manner to their shareholders. Moreover, they usually own the very government of the state, which thus enacts and implements laws and policies that benefit these groups.Any cursory glance at any western city where it is claimed that capitalism and multi-party parliamentary democracy has brought immense benefits to all, will show an obese, apathetic, dumbed down, sick population, with only a minority in overall good health and with a genuine happiness that is not the results of drugs, alcohol, hedonistic entertainment or some other temporary fix of escape. A cursory glance at any small village in central Africa however, will show lasting happiness, health, and a quality of life which results in spite of the near-total absence of hospitals, police stations, law courts and media. We hold that this is no accident, as the medical, legal, media and other state control systems in the west are geared toward the profit of the elite at any cost, and thus do not serve but to control and enslave the population as mere consumers of those products and “services”, keeping the masses alive but dependent upon the system the elite have created in lieu of the masses. For those who realize that this is not a natural state of affairs, but rather is the result of the policies enacted by the few who derive their power and wealth from the blood, sweat and tears of the masses, it is always a moral imperative to stand up for what is right, and to explore and build alternatives to the current direction which is unsustainable and leading to the collapse and bankruptcy of the parasitic western nations, who grew fat on the finite wealth of other nations, which is now fast depleting. We can thus talk not merely of our human rights, but also of human responsibilities. We have a responsibility to educate ourselves, to take care of ourselves, to stand up for our rights, and to assist and protect others around us who are engaged in the noble pursuit of higher ideals, humanitarian values, spiritual enlightenment, sustainable and balanced progress, motivated by the desire for a better world. A world of genuine freedom, justice, human rights, and true participatory democracy in which we all have a say and role in shaping our affairs and our destiny. For too long, the masses have been lulled to sleep, by the advertising, education and media of the elite. We are told that our lot in life is to blindly follow and trust the authorities, and that others will take care of our security, our housing, our health, our hunger, our thirst, our finance, and most other aspects of out lives. The result is a police state under the guise of freedom and democracy, profiteering real estate companies, a population drugged on pharmaceuticals, food without nutritional value, toxins, drinks and water laced with carcinogens and toxins, and banks which provide loans created out of thin air or computer electrons by the elite which are paid back by the masses with real assets and hard earned money. The International Green Charter During the year of 1988, a million people in Libya gathered together in thousands of People’s Conferences, to discuss and decide for themselves, what they considered to be their rights and freedoms. No matter whether you take the position that the Libyan masses had been given the freedom to discuss and control their own destiny, by a government which ceased to exist and handed over the reigns of power in 1977, or if you believe that Libya was under a benevolent dictatorship headed by Muammar Qaddafi, it is a fact that a “Great Green Charter on Human Rights and Freedoms in the Era of the Masses” was declared at the General People’s Congress of Libya on 12th June 1988.In its 26 articles, this Green Charter listed various rights and freedoms that make the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights (UNDHR) look like a document of slavery when the two are compared side by side. This should not surprise us, since the UNDHR was drafted and enacted by a small committee of the elites, just after the end of their grab and repartioning of the world’s resources via all-out war, with the spoils going mainly to the victors, the USA, Britain, France and Russia. It is thus that the UNDHR among other instruments of the so-called United Nations, gave the colonial powers full rights to rule entire nations as their “territories” under their “protection”. Yet, the well-known and heavily-promoted so-called human rights organizations such as Amnesty International, and most political parties, have adopted this document as the foundation for their definition and measurement of human rights, in spite of its obvious flaws. It can only be hoped that one day, the truth of the exact procedures carried out among the thousands of people’s conferences that convened in Libya in 1988 to discuss the issue of human rights and freedoms, may become known. This may reveal a more exact number than the estimated one million Libyans who took part in the discussions, as well as to what degree those discussions were influenced by Mu’ammar Qaddafi, or the Libyan Revolutionary Committees Movement which he led.Whether the Great Green Charter on Human Rights and Freedoms in the Era of the Masses was thus proposed by the revolutionary committees and approved with modifications by the masses who attended the conferences, or whether the deliberations of the masses which may have lasted for several weeks, resulted in the final charter, it has a participatory level and thus a moral weight, beyond any human made document in the history of mankind. It is also undeniable that the Great Green Document provided then, and still does today, one of the most advanced definitions of human rights, and thus has more right to be adopted by genuine human rights organizations, political and social groups, than the so-called UN Declaration of Human Rights. It was for this reason that in 1999 on the 11th anniversary of the Great Green Charter, a small number of non-Libyan far-sighted individuals who wished to see this charter become more renowned around the world, and to encourage that it be endorsed by social, political, human rights and other bodies around the world, convened and proclaimed the International Green Charter. All the articles of the Great Green Charter were left intact and unchanged. Only the preamble, and the short post script, were altered to reflect the manner and venue in which the International Green Charter came into being on 12th June, 1999.— Adam KingPart Two will introduce the International Green Charter Movement

In spite of the massive good will and support around the world for the Jamahiriya, there had been no practical explanations and structures beyond Libya, that has now changed.
One of the first targets hit by NATO, the Northern Allied Terrorist Organization, was the World Centre for the Studies and Researches on The Green Book and the Third Universal Theory, or “Green Book Centre” for short. This academic institution, although containing some nonsense publications among its library, as do all libraries, contained a great many important publications that would solve the world’s problems on democracy and power. Why would NATO bomb this place among the first of its targets, early last year, possibly killing 8 persons who were in the premises. NATO, the western bankster elites, are afraid of knowledge, of true democracy, reaching the world. The “rats” (hard to find a better name for the drug-fuelled terrorists who commit the worst human rights abuses) took delight in burning every copy of The Green Book. Yet, they have succeeded in only one thing: making The Green Book and its ideas, more famous.People around the world have been wondering why is it that Muammar Qaddafi is so loved by his people. Once they found out the obvious reasons, as shown in the preceding link, they also wondered how it is that they could achieve Jamahiriya in their own nations. All Libyan Jamahiriya web sites have been wiped off the Internet, and not one word of indignation was raised by the so-called anti-censorship organizations in the west such as Index on Censorship. As a western gate-keeper organization, it and others such as Amnesty International, complain only about Syria, China, Russia.Every person in Libya who has knowledge concerning the Third Universal Theory, is tortured, imprisoned, and/or murdered. It thus has become imperative to preserve this Theory for the historical record, but more than that, to offer it to the world as the true alternative to the current world order which is rapidly on the way out.It is thus that we have been assisting two projects toward more completion, and thus devoted our time and energies towards this issue, and less on news gathering and reporting. We believe that had to be a priority and that our supporters agree. For those who have continued to support us with donations and subscriptions, not only our thanks, but the thanks of the world’s oppressed masses go out to you. For the very future of humanity will depend upon the adoption of sound principles for the future. The two projects which we have given our heavy support and are nearing completion in their online informational form, and which we would thus like to draw your attention to, are the International People’s Conference Organization information repository, and Jamahiri definitions. For those that have not done so already, please seewww.PeoplesConference.org and note the last menu item which has now been completed: “Structures and Assemblies”. Everyone would do well to read it, and to take necessary action. Register yourselves as supporting members, by filling out the registration form. Work to spread this information so that the veil may be finally lifted on democracy. The Jamahiri definitions, which were causing confusion among those unfamiliar with the Jamahiriya, can be found athttp://wiki.greencharter.com — please study the Glossary of terms, as it is quite educational. As always, join us in the forums atwww.mathaba.org to discuss these and other issues.

Whether the Great Green Charter on Human Rights and Freedoms in the Era of the Masses was thus proposed by the revolutionary committees and approved with modifications by the masses who attended the conferences, or whether the deliberations of the masses which may have lasted for several weeks, resulted in the final charter, it has a participatory level and thus a moral weight, beyond any human made document in the history of mankind. Only the preamble, and the short post script, were altered to reflect the manner and venue in which the International Green Chartercame into being on 12th June, 1999. — Adam King Part Two will introduce the International Green Charter Movement |

The following is a trailer for a documentary on last year’s imperialist assault on Libya, during which a sovereign nation was hijacked by the West and their local henchmen, under the guise of bringing “freedom and democracy” to the country.
By J.L. Samboma,eBeefs The project is now in post-production, although a few interviews are pending. The aim of this trailer is to provide a taster and to help solicit funds for production costs. Author’s request: This is a self-supporting venture, operating on a “budget of none.” If you would like to assist with this independent production, then please use the paypal button on the right [see eBeefs website] to order a copy of The President’s Pressmen, our previous effort on media repression in Sierra Leone. Anything but the Truth … A la quête de la Vérité …
Aïcha Kadhafi nie la mort de son père – Aïcha Gaddafi denies her father’s death
English translation at the end

New NATO membership fascism. The genocide of blacks. Crime continues.
Our friend Mike Tyson (he Libyan, Tyson is his pseudonym) says about the new horrifying facts. In fact, a whole people in northern Libya was subjected to deportation and extermination. And the worst thing that the existence of a powerful modern media and the Internet global community about this absolutely does not know anything. As if there is an invisible force which cuts off all the “unwanted” information from all information flows. Such a terrible world dictatorship, and a total monitoring and control has never happened before in human history. The world is more like a matrix from the famous movie.
South-east of Misurata below 32y parallel to the shore of the Mediterranean lived most recently black people Taverga. Population of about 40,000 people (a). Their story is very easy. At the time of the Arab conquests of the Arabs of North Africa after passing half ran into fierce resistance from blacks in the central part of northern Libya. The resistance was so stubborn that the leaders of the Caliphate were forced to compromise and retain the blacks of their land and to some extent independent. Instead of having the right of unimpeded passage. This right is very useful because they soon routed the Arabs, Berbers galloping mountaineers rushed back to the east. And if a black-Berber to a hammer anvil framed his Taverginskuyu the entire history of the Arab conquests in North Africa and ended in this-would be. But people slipped barrier Taverga Arabs found themselves in safety and regrouping and replenishing the forces in Egypt are back, and conquered the Berbers. Thus began the friendship between Arabs and black people Taverga …friendship ended so miserably …
At the beginning of unrest in Misurata TsRUshnyh political strategists of NATO conducted a special operation on grazing ethnic groups. This is nothing surprising, nothing new there. Perhaps there is even the CIA’s internal instruction is worked through with the exact numbers of murders and the methodology required to conduct. The experience of these cases the CIA enormous. Starting with the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia, where the West was provoked inter-ethnic killings, they have improved their technique of inter-ethnic and sectarian carnage in Somalia and Iraq. In Libya provocateurs came already with a huge store of experience and knowledge. All “started” in line for gasoline. Several dozen provocateurs fished out a half-dozen black cars and started to lynch the accused of all mortal sins. Neither the army nor the police Gaddafi in Misurata was no longer (thank NATO air) and there was no one to intercede. And if anyone tried a specially designated “Revolutionary” patron approached quietly and showed from his bosom a knife or gun. They say do not bother to work.
Further more. Realizing that Gaddafi does not want bloodshed is responsible for the bloodshed began TsRUshniki planned to cut the small number of blacks in the diaspora Misurata. About three hundred, four hundred blacks were decapitated, dismembered, burned. We’ve all seen these videos with carved roasted black hearts eaten, “the Libyan revolutionaries of the Afghan.”We saw the severed heads of black and do the procedure, we have seen have seen people shot were hanged. All this is documented on video and waiting for his Nuremberg after which the leaders of NATO countries would follow in hell after Goering Bormann Kaltenbrunner Ribbentroppom Keitel and Jodl his other comrades.
Seeing is no longer sustained tribesmen dead. Gaddafi accused the inactive tavergintsy went to their rescue Misurata. Tavergintsy certainly not calculated my forces. Where are they without an army and without Gaddafi engineering to compete with the armed to the teeth “of the Afghan Libyans” supported by NATO aircraft. Certainly inexperienced Tavergintsy lost several times more than the dead rat. Tavergintsy fought without military equipment. Gaddafi is not so much shy prevent blacks as threats to the landing of NATO. Qaddafi just wanted to avoid, to avoid bloodshed. He waited hoping that NATO or Russia
sober will change his mind. Blacks had to fight against the offenders, without technology, without artillery, almost with bare hands. In Misurata almost no damage from the shelling. The main failure of the NATO air.
Today Tavergintsy deported from their places of residence. The people numbering 40,000 (or rather what was left of it) exists today in camps in subhuman conditions in Tripoli, Benghazi and other cities. People get sick and die like flies. Area of the former residence Taverga is under the control rats, and no one is allowed there. The terrain using the terminology chubaysoidov – elite (southern coast of the Mediterranean Sea) and the expected population of rats, especially distinguished. In the camps more often are the words to go home (even if they say we will kill their native land), but rat the Government applied a new tactic. They promptly destroyed homes and infrastructure to back it nowhere.

Tawerga Libya after death
Torghae Libyan people protesting against the ill-treatment
Demonstrated a number of the people of the Libyan town of Torghae in Martyrs’ Square the center of the Libyan capital to protest what they called the arbitrary and ill-treatment against them by the troops of the Transitional National Assembly, stressing the Libyan identity and their right to live in dignity.
It was not the people of the town of Beni Walid the only ones who complained of ill-treatment and the repeated attacks that have been recognized by the leaders of the Transitional Council and promised to fix them. Torghae people gathered in Martyrs’ Square to announce the resentment of ill-treatment, and the men and women talked about incidents of terrifying and humiliating.
The organization “Human Rights Watch,” announced on October 30 that the militias in the city of Misurata kill people displaced from the town of Torghae nearby, and attack them beat, because of the accused by militants loyal to the forces of Libyan leader late Muammar Gaddafi. The agency noted that it had conducted interviews with dozens of people displaced from Torghae across the country, including those who have been detained or displaced.

EXCLUSIVE TO lizzie-phelan.blogspot.comBy Lizzie PhelanJANZOUR, TRIPOLI – The Misrata Brigade have begun shooting at and attacking civilians in a refugee camp in Janzour containing approximately 1,500 refugees from the now obliterated town of Tawergha, close to Misrata. The area surrounding the camp has been closed off by the brigade preventing any help from reaching the refugees.Doctors in Central Tripoli Hospital have confirmed that they have already received the bodies of one man and one woman from the camp.Residents in Tripoli, including the Tawerghan community outside of the camp who are unable to help their fellow countryman, are pleading with the international community to spread awareness about the attack and to stop the attack which is continuing at this moment. The racist crimes committed by the Misrata Brigade against the town of Tawergha, which is mainly populated by Black Libyans, has been well documented by international human rights organisations and and the global mainstream media. They are infamous for scrawling on the walls on the road to Tawergha, that they, the Misrata brigade are “the brigade for the purging of the skins of slaves, Black skins.”Under the protection of NATO bombing which obliterated any attempts by the Tawerghan people and Libyan military to defend themselves and the twon, the Misrata brigade racially cleansed the entire town of between 30-40,000 in Tawergha in line with their motto that “there is no Tawergha, only Misrata”. Indeed Tawergha as it historically was, no longer exists. Many people fled at the time to the safety of Tripoli which was still under the control of the Jamahiriyah government, where they found refuge in peoples homes and refugee camps and were being swiftly rehoused by the former government.Since NATO bombed the rebels into Tripoli in late August, there has been a systematic policy by the rebels of persecuting those refugees and anyone who defends them.More updates to followhttp://lizzie-phelan.blogspot.com/2012/02/breaking-news-rebels-step-up-attacks-on.html
